By Nicola Kostic
30/08/16 – 11/09/16
Personal exhibition of the Serbian photographer Nikola Kostic “The Worlds” will be one of the most important cultural events in Moscow this September.
From the 30th of August until the 11th of September more than 100 works will be on display in the Big Hall of Center of Photography Brothers Lumiere – a result of many years of travelling in Indonesia, Nepal, Burma, Argentina, Italy, Australia, Russia, Holland, Vietnam, China and Greece.
The name of the exhibition has a deep significance. Instead of choosing a very narrow and focus approach to photography, Nikola is combining the impossible: portraits of Buddhist monks with contemporary city stories, images of Indian Sadhu and sacred rituals with modern dance. He does that humbly and honestly, and with a great sense of humour – which is so rare in the world of art these days.
